Winter Bike to Work Day is ONE WEEK away! Discover (or maybe rediscover) the joys of winter biking. You never know what you might find when you take the road less travelled.  Riders in New Hampshire are encouraged to take the pledge to bike to work on February 9th. The interactive map on the event’s website shows each rider’s destination, so you can see how many other people have pledged to ride across the state.

Just like driving, biking can be tricky in winter conditions. New riders are encouraged to do some research on how to dress, prepare your bike, and what to expect when riding in snow or on ice. Luckily, there are plenty of helpful resources to get you feeling confident to ride, like REI’s Biking in Winter guide and Winter Wheels’ Slippery Handling Conditions video.
