On Saturday, September 10, 2016 part of Route 12/Central Square in Troy was transformed to showcase ideas for making the Town Center a more walkable, bikeable, and safer place. The demonstration in Troy was set up differently than other demonstrations in the region. Instead of an event centered around the demonstration, “pop-up” installations were installed and left for the public to use at they wish throughout the day. Complete streets elements that were added to the streetscape included two crosswalks and a protected bike lane on one side of the road. Comment boxes were positioned by the temporary installations for residents to provide feedback. Click here for a summary of the public comments.
